Key PersonnelLike most medium sized firms in the professions the firm has a defined structure from partners through managers leading to lower levels of professional staff and support staff. Due to the highly computerized nature of the firm, there are relatively few junior and support staff members. In keeping with its focus on small business clientele, the firm has only a few key people that maintain an advisory level contact with the clients. Each of these key people, whilst being general practitioners in their own right, also have some special interest areas so that if the need arises, clients can be cross referred in these areas. A brief background of these people is set out below. San Chotai San has a primary degree in Economics from the Leeds University in the U.K. He commenced practice in 1980 and has business management and revenue law work as special area of interest. Nish Chotai Nish qualified in the U.K. and has some twenty years post qualification experience. Special areas of interest include business management, finance and corporate restructuring. Ash Chotai Ash holds a Masters degree in Commerce, and joined the firm in 1991. He has a strong interest in all aspects of revenue law, and also heads the firms audit division. Ivan Farinazzo Ivan has approximately seventeen years of post qualification experience. He was originally a partner but left to pursue his own interests. He has rejoined the firm as a manager/consultant and brings a lot of expertise in certain industries. He heads up the special projects group that develops and markets advisory and management packages for specific industries. He works in this area in close conjunction with Nish. Presently, he is very active in child-care centre and hotel management systems. He also has a special interest in the construction industry and development projects. He is also in charge of the business planning section of the firm. John Oakroot John joined the firm as a result of the takeover of the firm of J.R. Stephenson and Associates in the mid eighties. He has some thirty years practical experience and his special area of interest is the rural sector.
Paul Chan Paul joined the firm in March 1990. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business in 1990 and was admited as CPA in 1993. He has also been an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries and Administrators since 1986. Paul Chan is a taxation and business services manager and is also in charge of the firm's staff training and CPE requirements.
Paul Nutter Paul recently joined the firm as a business services and taxation manager. He has over five years experience in the field since graduating from the Queensland University of Technology with first class honours in a Bachelor of Business - Accountancy (Honours) degree. He has a special area of interest in taxation law work and business management. |
